West Indies Women 133 for 8 (Daley 23*, Mohammed 15*) beat Sri Lanka Women 129 for 8 (Kaushalya 32, Small 2-18) by two wickets

A 41-run stand for the ninth wicket between Anisa Mohammed and Shanel Daley helped West Indies sneak home in a rain-affected thriller against Sri Lanka at St Paul's Sports Complex. Chasing 130 in 33 overs, Daley and Mohammed reached the target with three balls to spare to give West Indies an early lead in the series.

Earlier, the rain had delayed the start by half an hour before the hosts chose to field. The visitors wobbled to 33 for 4 as the seam-bowling duo of Shakera Selman and Danielle Small made early inroads. The biggest stand was the 33-run association for the fifth wicket between Chamani Seneviratna and Suwini de Alwis. The batsmen struggled to put up a big enough score, and the innings received a boost only towards the end as Eshani Kaushalya scored a 49-ball 32 to lift the score to 129.

The hosts stumbled in their chase to 47 for 4, before a 35-run stand for the fifth wicket between Cordel Jack and Stacy-Ann King took them to safety. But Jack's run-out, followed by a double-strike by Kaushalya left West Indies reeling at 92 for 8. Mohammed and Daley saw out the tense period to take them home in the final over. Udeshika Prabodhani took two wickets in an economical spell but she couldn't help Sri Lanka snatch victory as she conceded the winning runs.
